KMG x RISE-UP RESIDENCY

Exploring the intersection of art and ocean literacy with a project video showcasing new artworks in the South East of England.

Scottish artist KMG painted a coastal public art project exploring the intersection between orcas and the women shaping ocean storytelling for ocean awareness project, @riseupresidency_

She created two new murals in Westbrook and Broadstairs, exploring her cultural heritage with Gaelic mythology, and built connections to UK Orcas, highlighting matriarchal pod behaviour + the threats from contaminants, bycatch + climate impacts.

Rise-Up Residency is a Margate basedartist residency focusing on ocean conservation and ocean awareness.
